Podcast Editing and Video Production

The Chelsea Social Hour Podcast

The first podcast that I featured on and helped to produce was the TCS Hour Podcast in which we discussed the weekly news surrounding Chelsea FC. A small group of us who work for The Chelsea Social came together to create this with the intention of giving our outlook on issues surrounding Chelsea which seem to come around more often than not at the end of the 2021/22 season. I was largely a guest on this podcast weekly however I get the chance to fully produce an episode by myself towards the end. The link attached should take you to the episode that was solely produced by me via Audacity and Anchor.

Your Last Four Braincells Podcast

Recently I decided to start up a podcast with a few friends aiming to entertain audiences with our comedic outlook on elements of life, hence the name of the podcast and the titles of each episode. Alongside featuring on the podcast itself, this podcast is fully edited, produced and uploaded by myself through a mix of different pieces of software such as Anchor, Audacity and Capcut. I would set up the recording software for each episode with the team and then take the audio file and listen to it through and cut any parts that shouldn't be in the episode. This not only developed my editing skills when it comes to audio production but also helped improve my attention to detail when listening out for any slips of the tongue in the episodes. The podcasts are posted on Spotify and then distributed across social media where myself and another member of the group help to run things and produce graphics to go along with each episode.

The Cakehouse NUL - Stuck Up Films

This advert was the first one produced for a business, under our production company named "Stuck Up Films". My role in the production of this advert involved making contacts with the clients, arranging a shoot date and planning the shoot itself whilst then also actually editing the video and the audio for the advert and uploading it to social media. The video was edited in CapCut and PremierPro and the audio was also mixed in both of these sets of software, which i had to ensure was non-copyrighted so that we avoided any issues in that department. The advert was posted to the Stuck Up Films social media pages and also on the social media pages of The Cakehouse NUL which required experience in the social media management department in order to reach the biggest audience possible for the advert across both Instagram and YouTube.

The Waffle and Crepe House Trentham - Stuck Up Films

We recently had the chance to shoot an advert over at The Waffle and Crepe House in Trentham. I was not present on this actual shoot however I edited both of the adverts produced for the company and edited the images that are going to be used across their social media pages. The idea for this advert in particular was to be a longer one (around 1 minute) with the aim to target a younger audience with high disposable income hence the slow-mo shots and the high key lighting on the products. The music once again had to be non-copyright and took a lot of research in order to match it with the vibe of the video. This advert gave us experience in working towards deadlines as we managed to complete all the work inside a 2 week time period.

Product Showcase of The Crepe and Waffle House - Stuck Up Films

Here is a shorter video made for The Crepe and Waffle House once again to showcase their fantastic range of sweet and savoury goods. With this advert my aim was to make it short and snappy as such and have the products on show essentially bounce between each other as they hit the full rotation of the spinning plate below. Once again I produced this advert and thus I had to ensureI I found the right music beat wise to match with the pace of the advert. I managed to match the beat of the backing track with the change of the product to product a piece perfect for short videos to be showcased across Instagram which is exactly what the advert has been used for.

College A-Level Media and Film Coursework

In order to complete my A-Level qualification for Media and Film studies, I had to produce and edit video content to be sent off as coursework. Media Studies required me to produce 3x 30 second adverts to advertise a fictional aftershave brand and this was filmed on location in Salford. For Film Studies I had to write, direct and produce a 5 minute short film which started with an enigma code and from this brief I produced "The Screening", following a protagonist who finds himself broadcasted across every technological device in his house and thus attempts to find the route of the problem.

I am currently not able to upload the footage for these projects onto Youtube or Vimeo due to them being held by the exam boards however if you would like to see the full things please contact me and i'd be more than happy to showcase them.
